Meet BMF
Ever wondered what’s inside the storage units?
Obviously we don’t always know – what’s in your unit is your business and under your own lock and key! But we thought it might be interesting to speak to some of the people who use our storage to find out exactly how and why they use it.
So meet the first business to tell all – BMF.
BMF designs and installs luxury bathrooms, wood burning stoves and fires, and heating solutions, and has a showroom just down the road from McCarthy’s on Meanwood Road. We asked them to answer a few questions for us.
- What sort/size of storage do you have at McCarthy’s?
Around 750 sq ft at the moment – but we do scale up and scale down from time to time as needed.
- How long have you had storage at McCarthy’s?
Three years. Long before we moved to Meanwood Road! We used to be based in Moortown, but last year we moved literally a few doors away from Storage World.
- What do you use the storage for?
With the work we do, obviously we have to order a lot of bathroom suites and large fireplaces, stoves and boilers for customers, which are bulky, and may be waiting to be fitted. We can’t store all of these on our premises, so we need somewhere else to keep them safe, where we can get access whenever we need. We’re just about to start selling kitchens too – so there will be even more to store!
- What do you find most useful about having self storage?
It means we don’t need to worry about space so much in our own premises – we always have the option of moving appliances there. It’s very handy that you can get access 24 hours a day – so we can send our workmen there very early in the morning on the way to jobs. We have upsized and downsized our storage space as we’ve needed to, which McCarthy’s have been very helpful about.
- Why did you choose McCarthy’s?
We knew it by reputation, and it offered flexibility and good value for money. The location is convenient from all around the area – whether we are travelling from the old or new showroom or from home. And importantly, we know our goods are kept safe and that we can get access whenever we need.
