The team is now working with three great new Yorkshire clients, and has also extended contracts with an additional two organisations we were already working with – which is testament to the h
ard work of the team, who consistently provide an excellent service for their customers. Well done team!
So, McCarthy’s Document Management is now providing a managed archive service for Yorkshire law firm Lupton Fawcett, and for GMI Construction, based in Leeds, both for an initial two-year contract. The service ensures important documents are kept filed and secure at our off-site facility, with a barcode system allowing instant retrieval and access as needed.
In addition, McCarthy’s Safe Shred is now providing confidential waste disposal services for the Community Options service at the Community Links mental health charity, which provides services across Yorkshire. We have also seen our contract with Leeds City Council extend into its fourth year, and estate agent Manning Stainton has added further West Yorkshire branches to its off-site shredding service.
We work with clients on anything from a weekly to monthly basis, collecting confidential waste and either shredding it on site or taking it to our secure warehouse to be destroyed. One hundred per cent of the waste is then sent to be recycled in the UK, providing a closed loop service, with nothing ending up in landfill. In fact, it often ends up as paper towels or toilet rolls!
With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force next year, proper disposal and storage of confidential documentation needs to be high on the agenda for businesses of all sizes. The penalties for getting it wrong will be high, and customers and staff expect businesses to keep their data safe, now more than ever.
