Of course, cool is in the eye of the beholder. What one person finds cool, another may not. And that’s a good thing.

So a story caught our eye which looked at the coolest places in the UK to live. There’s the Northern Quarter in Manchester, Southside in Edinburgh, Walthamstow in London. And at number 10 there’s also Chapel Allerton in Leeds!
The article points out that Leeds has plenty of “lovely, leafy suburbs that feel village-like while remaining close to the centre” but they pick Chapel Allerton as the top choice (with Meanwood also getting a special mention).
They talk about Chapel Allerton’s woods and parks along with thriving local businesses such as the Mustard Pot, The Woods and Seven Artspace. There’s commissioned street art and public vegetable gardens and even a three day Arts Festival in September.
If you had to pick the coolest place to live in Leeds, where would it be? Chapel A is certainly a popular place to live, but so are many other of Leeds’ fantastic suburbs – Horsforth, Adel, Bramhope, Roundhay, Headingley, Garforth, Morley to name just a few. All have a great mix of open green space or surrounding countryside, combined with popular local shops, eateries and drinking establishments – and importantly, a thriving sense of community.
