It’s often said that moving house is one of the most stressful life events any of us can go through. And anyone who has done it will understand why! With the pressure of packing up all your things, cleaning the house, wondering if and when contracts will complete, and worrying about what state your new house will be left in, it can seem a bit overwhelming at times.
But obviously, it doesn’t stop us from doing it! According to research we move around 16 times in a lifetime, and over six million of us put ourselves through it during an average year.
That got us thinking about how many moves we do here at McCarthy’s. We reckon, on average, we do around 400 moves a month. Over the years we’ve probably handled a quarter of a million moves. Wow! No wonder we’re exhausted…
But, in all seriousness, we like to think we’ve become experts during that time!
