Managing Records and Documents

Information can take many forms, such as paper, microform, magnetic tape, or CD-ROM, through to entire electronic data warehouses.
When your business moves, the information also needs to be relocated, and storing all of your records and information on site can be a costly exercise.
There are statutory retention periods to consider, and most documents need to be kept for a minimum of 6 years - some for considerably longer.

McCarthy’s Records Management services include;

  • Bar-coding and cataloguing: Records are stored in boxes or as individual files, and are given a unique barcode which forms an individual database for each customer.
    We are then able to keep a complete history of each record movement, through the management tracking system, RSWin.
  • Retrieval: Several options are available for accessing your information depending on your requirements.
    These include a 2-hour emergency service, same day service and a next day service.
    Private viewing rooms are also available for inspection of documents at McCarthy’s Records Management Leeds

Consultancy and planning: At the beginning of the moving process, we offer a consultancy service to assess your needs, both now and to plan ahead for the future.
We also provide business continuity planning and disaster recovery services to ensure that your business is prepared for any event.
